Marine Cylinder Oils
1 listings from independent supplierslive count
Marine cylinder oils are high-base-number lubricants formulated for cylinder lubrication in low-speed two-stroke crosshead diesel engines — the primary propulsion plant of large commercial vessels and bulk carriers. SAE 50 viscosity class formulations with high base numbers (up to BN 100 in listed grades) neutralise the sulphuric acid by-products of heavy fuel combustion and prevent liner and piston-ring wear across all generations of slow-speed crosshead engines.
